The Crusader: Age-old problem of vet’s bills

A family’s pet insurance claim over a vet’s bill for their sick dog hit hurdle after hurdle until they shared their tale of woe with Crusader.

The Macks, mother Margaret and adult son Ian, faced deadlock after submitting £168 of charges for their sick dog Zeus to Animal Friends.

He says: “I gave the policy details over the phone and the only thing the customer services person questioned was Zeus’s breed.

He said he only had room for one type in the box but Zeus is a cross, so we settled on rottweiler.

We gave his details exactly as we had received them.”
